Inside The Makeup Show NYC 2011 (Part 1)

As I wrote in my last post, The Makeup Show is a must for anyone who’s a lover of makeup artistry and all beauty fanatics. This 2 day event draws the top names in the field to network, mingle, and gawk. Compared to this years first NYC IMATS, this event is much bigger, but I’m hoping the two can eventually dual it out, along with IBS, to make all the shows even better.

Inglot is a fav as always

With the risk of providing TMI, I must say I was so busy indulging in the show’s colors, textures and people to eat or use the ladies room. I just kept going!

Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics (OCC) featured their new OCC Tint line tinted moisturizers

The MAC booth is popular as always

Sarah Armstrong – Crumb with Dermalogica

I’ve posted before about my love for Dermalogica. I got some great advice from one of their skin therapists. She advised that I used their Active Moist moisturizer to combat the oiliness I’m experiencing now that the air is becoming more humid. She also advised that I should apply my spf OVER my moisturizer for the greatest sun protection. And all this time I’ve put it underneath my moisturizer!

The good kind of chaos at the Make Up For Ever booth. And this isn’t even the line!

Tried out MUFE’s new Aqua liners. I’m in love!
The Aqua Liners provided fun color with some serious staying power. They dried quickly and stayed on my hand all day until i applied makeup remover that night.
Did you know Dany Sanz, founder of MUFE was the first artist in France to specialize in body paint techniques?

It was a pleasure meeting so many other bloggers and top industry folks, one of which helped me acquire entry into the show! I can’t wait for the next show. The weekend was ridiculously great. If you have the opportunity to go, you can pass it up.

And don’t forget to check out Part 2 of this post for my haul!
