Inside The Makeup Show NYC 2011 (Part 2 Mini Haul)

Let’s get right to the goodies from The Makeup Show! I didn’t get a lot this time. I got some key items like my Inglot palette and such at IMATS so for TMS I decided to opt for goods that I either missed last time around or that were new to me and sparked my interest. Let’s have a look…

My first real stop of the day was when the glosses at Kissable Couture caught my eye. I’m a sucker for gloss and even more a sucker for a great concept. I spoke with the company’s founder, AJ Crimson about the inspiration for this line of glosses. Some of the line’s colors are meant to be reminiscent of a first kiss with names such as Johnny, Dylan, David and Tyler while others are more ethereal, evoking an array of feelings. I picked up two sets KC’s mini glosses to get a good feel for the brand. It was great deal from them, and i’m excited to work my way through the sets.

At the IMATS show, I picked up a couple of the coveted OCC lip tars. I love the bright colors, but I needed to tone it down a bit for everyday use. One of the funnest things about these lip tars is that they are easy to mix and customize the shade. To make shades darker, you can use the black lip tar in TARRED.

See more after the jump!

Gleam Body Radiance by Melaie Mills

I was stopped in the aisles by a rep for Gleam Body Radiance. I hadn’t heard of the company but she tried some of their product on me and I got interested. This company was started by Melanie Mills and the product was specifically designed for her work on Dancing With the Stars, to send the stars out with glowing skin. I decided to try a small tube since summer is coming and I’ll likely have more skin showing. I picked up the Rose Gold shade.

Kevyn Aucoin Pure Powder Glow blush in Fira (Mango)

An fantastic find at the show was the Kevyn Aucoin booth. This stuff retails for $37 right now on dermstore.com. I kid you not, I got the single pan for $5. And you guys know I love a deal. Its a gorgeous wearable orange that will look great this summer. Love.

Yaby Pearl Paints in pp066 (left) and pp053

This is my second purchase from Yaby cosmetics. I bought one of there tiny pearl paint tins at IMATS and decided to try a couple more. These shadows are very smooth, almost cream like. These are so cheap at the show (2 for $5) so they are nice to experiment with. Know that these are very small though. Smaller than the diameter of a dime.
