Youngblood Cosmetics Spring 2012 Makeup Review & Swatches

These items from the Youngblood cosmetics Spring collection are what you need to look fresh for the season. I was just supplied with Youngblood products to try this past fall, and I’ve been waiting since then to tell you about them. I’m smitten with this brand and their commitment to providing high quality mineral cosmetics to women of ALL colors. Their products are talc, oil, parabens and fragrance and are even used in medical settings.
I’ve been reviewing them for months and they still excite me to this day.
My current staples are their Luminous Creme Blushes. I was a bit skeptical of these at first since I have dark skin. I figured I’d have no use for them. I was completely wrong. Even darker skin tones can use these velvety blushes to highlight for a dewy glow or even add a dusting of shimmer on your lids. Lighter skin tones can use them for a bit of glow and as a blush. They are so versatile, it’s really up to you. These oil-free, sheer colors provide longlasting wear that you can also layer with powders. Just use your fingertips and glide it where you want to glow. TIP: If you wear glasses, use these Creme Blushes where the frames meet your check bone to keep the eye area bright.

The next product in the line is Yougblood Eye-Illuminating Duo. This multi-puprose pencil contains both matte and shimmery colors for the eyes. I use the shimmer side to highlight the inner corners of my eyes and the matte side to highlight my browbone. It’s so easy to just drop this in your purse and have a quick way to perk up your look.

Last is a gorgeous shade of Lipstick called Tangelo. This creamy orange color may just be your Spring staple. I’m still playing with this color to get it to work for me, but that’s how lovely I think it is. Lighter skin tones should have an easier time with it. I’m experimenting with layering it with NYX Girls Round Lip Gloss in Apricot. Hope this works!
