Curls Passion Fruit Curl Control Paste Review

You may remember, there was a product in the ’90’s that was hot for a while called Let’s JAM. It smoothed out edges and left your hair looking shiny. I think my mom uses it to this day. Well it was good at smoothing down edges but it was full of petroleum products.

Enter Curls Passion Fruit Curl Control Paste. This product is pretty much a dupe of JAM but without any of the nasty stuff. Its all natural. This does a great job of making my edges smooth, and unlike gel, the hair is soft and pliable at the end of the day. I pretty much only use this on edges when I want a sleek look. I think its too sticky to try to control an actual curl, but I’ve never given that a full go. One thing I like about this is the contrast it creates between the slick sides and my fluffy hair when in a puff or just pulled back on the sides. Keep the fact that it does changed the look of your texture a bit. Just in case you are anti smoothness.

Update: As promised, here is a peek at what it looks like in my hair:

It isn’t the cheapest, but I do find it goes a long way. Try using less than you think you need and see how it works for you!
